Are you passionate about horses? Would you like to be a part of a beautiful, privately owned, small equestrian facility west of Minneapolis, MN? Our Client is looking for an experienced, responsible, reliable, part-time Stable Hand who can assist with maintaining their horses and facilities.
The facility is heated with a fully enclosed center aisle barn. They are seeking a highly qualified individual, with exceptional attention to detail, who may be searching for a long-term position at a farm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be willing to learn, implement, adhere to/maintain consistency with the proven processes/schedule already in place! • Team player • Participate in the continual process of cleaning the facility • Muck stalls/paddocks • Feed/water horses/fill hay nets • Turn horses in/out • Monitor horses for injury (ie: lameness) and illness (ie: colic) • Respect vets, farriers and others when they are on-site • Maintain good communication with Property Manager and Director of Operations • Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 5+ years of barn worker experience • 5+ years of handling horses • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
HOURS:
• Saturdays & Sundays, 7:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
COMPENSATION:
• Generous salary based on experience ($18 - $20/hr.)
