THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a local CPA firm in their search for a Sr. Accountant to join their Auditing Department. Ideal candidates will have experience in private, public, and non-profit accounting, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and an active CPA license.

Essential Job Duties:
• Audits the client's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency
• Reviews client internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness and compliance
• Collected pertinent data to draft and present reports of findings and analysis
• Use the data collected to propose strategies to improve efficiency and compliance; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures
• Train, lead, and develop a team of junior auditors
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Three years of experience in private, public, and non-profit accounting required
• Active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) preferred OR actively pursuing CPA license required
• 10% travel within the state of MN (primarily in the Twin Cities) required
Job Details:
• Direct-hire opportunity with excellent benefits package!
• Hybrid work model - 50% onsite (primarily at client sites)
• Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm w/ additional hours during audit season required
• Pay depends on experience - starting at $70k/year
