THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a local CPA firm in their search for an Sr. Accountant to join their highly tenured Audit team/department. Highly qualified candidates will have 4+ years of experience in public accounting, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and an active CPA license. Candidates who are currently pursuing a CPA license are still welcome to apply.
Essential Job Duties: • Audits the client's financial records, statements, and reports, verifying accuracy and consistency • Reviews client internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness and compliance • Collects pertinent data to draft and present reports of findings and analysis • Uses the data collected to propose strategies to improve efficiency and compliance; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures • Trains, leads, and develops a team of junior auditors
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in accounting required • Minimum of 3+ years experience in public accounting required • Active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) preferred OR actively pursuing CPA license required • 10% travel within the state of MN (primarily in the Twin Cities) required
Position Benefits, Pay, & Schedule: • Office located in Downtown, Minneapolis • Direct-hire opportunity with competitive benefits package • Hybrid work model - 2 to 3 days onsite per week • Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm w/ additional hours during busy season required • Pay depends heavily on experience - starting at $70k/year.
