THE RIGHT STAFF is supporting a direct hire search for a Sales Specialist for a growing - family-owned - Catering and Events Company in the Metro area.
The Sales Specialist will be primarily responsible for selling a portfolio of high -end venue spaces for weddings and corporate events. This role is focused on front-end sales - prospecting and managing leads, conducting client consultations, and negotiating contracts and then working closely with venue managers and operations team to indirectly oversee' s event execution.
Ideal candidates will have prior venue and event sales experience, including corporate sales. Preferably with 2+ years of experience in venue and events, with a strong twin cities-based network. Connections to Twin Cities networking groups is also a plus!
This role will allow candidates to work a flexible schedule (shifted daily hours as needed) to accommodate client tours and event execution. Occasional weekend hours may be required. A hybrid work schedule is allowed - 2 to 3 days in the office is required.

Minimum Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED Required - 2 year or 4- year degree preferred. • 2+ years of B2B event or venue sales experience required, including corporate sales. • Must have a proven success in networking, with established twin cities-based corporate network to leverage (involvement in City or Business Groups is preferred). • Prior experience with negotiation and CRM software required, Caterease CRM preferred, but not required. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Job Details: • Base Pay + Uncapped Commission - Year 1 OTE- $75-$85K+ • East Minneapolis (St. Anthony Area), MN • Flexible Schedule - 1st shift - Business Hours and/or Early Evenings as needed. • Hybrid Work Environment - 2-3 days a week onsite • 50% Outside Sales/Field Responsibilities, including time spent at venue sites for client consults - Twin Cities Metro area only. • Direct hire opportunity with Competitive Benefits Included!
