In-Territory Sales Manager - Direct-Hire/Full-time - 100% Remote for New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont Candidates!

Are you a results-driven, proactive sales professional who excels at building relationships, growing revenue, and managing accounts within a defined territory?

THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with a growing promotional products and apparel supplier to hire an In-Territory Sales Manager. This role is responsible for managing and expanding business opportunities across the assigned Eastern and Mid-Atlantic territory. The position is highly field-focused, requiring strong consultative selling skills, the ability to independently drive territory performance, and frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own and manage all accounts within the assigned territory, including national, mid-size, and smaller in-territory accounts.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve annual sales goals for each account
• Identify customer needs and provide consultative product solutions, including apparel, decoration capabilities, marketing programs, and other promotional products.
• Drive new business acquisition while expanding revenue within existing accounts; balance sales efforts between 50% new business and 50% account growth.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through face-to-face meetings, virtual presentations, and strategic account management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including inside sales, customer service, marketing, design, and warehouse, to support sales objectives and ensure seamless account management.
• Utilize CRM tools to track territory activity, monitor opportunities, and maintain accurate customer records.
• Represent the company at local and national trade shows, industry events, and client-facing activities as needed.
• Monitor competitor activity and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.
• Work independently while managing a high-volume travel schedule (40% for most locations), maintaining organization, and prioritizing tasks to meet or exceed territory goals.

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in promotional products, apparel, territory sales, or supplier/manufacturer-side account management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a defined territory.
• Knowledge of PPAI standards and industry best practices.
• Strong travel-based sales experience and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
• Experience using Zoho or similar CRM platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; additional experience with marketing or sales tools is a plus.

Position Benefits, Pay & Schedule:
• Full-time, direct-hire opportunity
• Must be located within the assigned territory; the role is 100% remote for candidates in New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont.
• Travel requirement: 30-40%
• Base salary range: $50, 000 - $75, 000, depending on experience, with commission eligibility
