Proposal Manager - Energy Efficiency Solutions - Onsite in Plymouth, MN

THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a fast-growing, results-driven energy management company based in Plymouth, MN in their search for an experienced Proposal Manager to join their collaborative and high-performing team.

Essential Job Duties:
• Collaborate with Sales and internal teams to qualify customer opportunities and assess solution viability
• Evaluate, recommend, and select best-in-class lighting technologies and controls for upcoming projects
• Lead development of detailed project quotes and proposals, including material, labor, and competitive pricing analysis
• Coordinate with Sales, Customer Solutions, Sourcing, Finance, and Operations to gather information necessary for proposal creation
• Manage proposal timelines, deliverables, and customer expectations to ensure accuracy and quality
• Conduct field audits and site visits to determine scope of work as needed
• Support RFP efforts from a Solutions perspective
• Assist with utility rebate incentives and EPAct 2005 documentation preparation
• Provide project proposal handoff to Project Managers upon award and support successful implementation
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert during client proposal presentations
• Manage multiple customer opportunities concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail
• Proactively identify and resolve issues throughout the proposal lifecycle
• Continuously develop knowledge of lighting technologies and pursue relevant industry certifications
Experience Required:
• 3-5+ years of experience in lighting design, electrical systems, energy solutions, or related field
• Bachelor's degree required
• Lighting, electrical contracting, or installation experience
• Project management, estimating, and customer service experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and hold cross-functional teams accountable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (cost tracking, analysis, reporting)
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (Potential for up to 30-50% travel)
Position Benefits, Pay, & Schedule:
• Direct-hire opportunity with comprehensive benefits package included
• Schedule is Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm (w/ flexibility on start and end times)
• Base pay is $62k to $65k annually + annual bonus

Position is 80% onsite in Plymouth, MN (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
