Do you have experience with industrial controls, process automation, and Allen-Bradley systems? Our client, a growing engineering and automation firm, is seeking an Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Control Engineer to join a close-knit team supporting critical industrial operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gain mentorship from an experienced engineer, and grow into a key technical leadership position within the organization.


JOB DETAILS:
  • Pay: $90,000 - $160,000+ annually, depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid opportunity based in the Twin Cities metro area; Minnesota residency required
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours, 8-hour shifts
  • Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and support industrial automation and process control systems.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, and related control systems.
  • Manage projects from concept through commissioning, including planning, equipment specification, installation support, and startup activities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for field technicians, project teams, and customers.
  • Support upgrades, modernizations, maintenance initiatives, and new system deployments.
  • Coordinate project schedules, materials, vendors, and implementation activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project records.
  • Travel periodically to customer sites for commissioning, troubleshooting, and project support.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of engineering experience with a strong controls and automation focus.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and software.
  • Process control and industrial automation experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% within the United States.
  • Must reside in Minnesota and be able to access the office as needed.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, commissioning, and industrial troubleshooting is highly desired.
