Commercial Lending Paralegal – Onsite in Minneapolis, MN 

Do you have at least 3 years of experience supporting commercial lending, real estate, or finance transactions? Are you an organized, detail-oriented Paralegal who enjoys managing complex transactions and working closely with attorneys and clients in a collaborative law firm environment? 

THE RIGHT STAFF is assisting our Downtown Minneapolis law firm client with finding their next Commercial Lending Paralegal to join its highly respected Commercial Lending practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative legal team supporting sophisticated lending transactions from inception through closing. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial lending or real estate matters, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing outstanding client service. 

Essential Job Duties: 
  • Review title commitments, surveys, and related real estate documents. 
  • Prepare initial drafts of commercial loan documents and loan amendments. 
  • Draft closing instruction letters and assist with loan closing documentation. 
  • Review due diligence materials, including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searches, organizational documents, and insurance certificates. 
  • Maintain and update transaction checklists while monitoring due diligence sites to ensure timely completion of closing requirements. 
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, lenders, and third parties to facilitate the exchange of information and documentation. 
  • Maintain organized matter files and support attorneys throughout the lending transaction process. 
  • Assist in managing multiple active transactions while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met. 

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial lending, real estate, or finance-related legal experience, preferably within a law firm or financial institution. 
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending documentation and transaction processes. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Exceptional grammar, proofreading, and document preparation skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize competing deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience working in a law firm environment. 
  • Prior experience providing legal administrative support. 
  • Experience using iManage and InTapp document management systems. 
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions and loan closings. 

Position Benefits, Pay, and Schedule: 
  • Direct-hire opportunity with a highly respected Minneapolis law firm. 
  • Competitive compensation ranging from $73,000 – $92,000 annually, commensurate with experience. 
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and additional voluntary benefits. 
  • Full-time, primarily onsite position in Downtown Minneapolis (4 days onsite and 1 day remote after training). 
  • Standard Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional additional hours as needed to support transaction closings and client deadlines.
