THE RIGHT STAFF is assisting a Minneapolis-based nonprofit organization in hiring a Portfolio Manager to oversee a group of residential properties in the metro area.
This full-time, direct-hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with 5-7 years of experience in property management (multi-site experience preferred), particularly within affordable or supportive housing environments. The Portfolio Manager will lead site teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive financial performance across multiple properties.
Minimum Requirements:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties, including leasing, rent collection, and staff supervision
• Ensure compliance with Housing Tax Credit and other affordable housing regulations
• Develop and manage property budgets; monitor financial performance and reporting
• Conduct income certifications and annual recertifications for residents
• Coordinate maintenance and vendor readiness for inspections
• Lead marketing and resident retention efforts; optimize leasing strategies
• Supervise Property Managers, Assistant Managers, Resident Relations Assistants, interns, and caretakers
• Proficient in property management software and spreadsheets
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

• $64, 000-$69, 000 annually, depending on qualifications
