Minimum Requirements
• Associates degree
• 2 plus years of experience in transportation and logistics, including road, water, and air freight
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems
• Reliable and consistent attendance record
• Previous experience using Microsoft AX
Responsibilities
• Coordinate and expedite the movement of outgoing freight to ensure on-time delivery to customers
• Manage the quoting process by determining shipping costs, rates, and most cost-efficient shipment methods
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments for internal and external customers
• Act as a liaison between customers, freight carriers, sales reps, and the shipping department
• Track, investigate, and resolve freight issues including delays, detention, and delivery discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipping records including destination, weight, and freight charges
• Create bills of lading and perform shipment-related data entry
• Assist with tracking and expediting domestic and international shipments, including overseas freight
• Control transportation costs through load consolidation and carrier selection
• Provide backup support to the client services team as needed
Job Details
• Onsite in Delano, MN
• Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
• Pay $25-$34/hour, depending on experience
• Contract starting on March 1st through August/September
