THE RIGHT STAFF is proud to partner with a highly respected Minneapolis-based law firm in their search for a knowledgeable and driven Legal Assistant to join their Litigation Department, supporting attorneys in Bankruptcy & Creditors Remedies. Essential Job Duties:
• Draft, edit, and finalize legal correspondence, motions, pleadings, agreements, and other litigation documents; perform document comparisons, formatting, and PDF editing.
• Prepare and submit electronic filings with state, federal, and appellate courts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Track and calendar all court-imposed deadlines, hearings, briefings, and litigation milestones.
• Maintain organized electronic client files, including pleadings, indexes, and original documents.
• Assist with billing by reviewing and refining attorney time entries and preparing client invoices.
• Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, depositions, and client communications; manage general correspondence and routine administrative tasks.
• Deliver dependable, professional support to attorneys, clients, and internal staff.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Administrative Assistant in a law firm environment; Bankruptcy, Creditors Remedies, or Litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with document management systems (FileSite, iManage) preferred.
• Excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; reliable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work overtime as needed to meet court deadlines.
Position Benefits, Pay, and Schedule:
• Direct-hire opportunity with a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, disability, life insurance, paid parental leave, 401(k), paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
• Full-time, onsite/hybrid position located in downtown Minneapolis within a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Position is primarily onsite, offering limited remote flexibility 1 day per week after initial onboarding and training period is complete.
• Pay ranges from $48, 000 to $91, 000 annually, depending on experience and level of expertise.
• Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
