THE RIGHT STAFF has an immediate opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to assist our client in Brooklyn Park. HR Assistant Information:
• Located in Brooklyn Park, MN
• 5-6 month Contract Position
• Monday through Friday; 9:00am to 3:00pm
• Pay: $19-$22 per hour (DOQ)

HR Assistant Responsibilities:
• Acts as first point of contact for HR team by answering phone calls made to HR hotline and managing incoming emails sent to the HR inbox. Sorts emails to correct HR team member or answers email directly if applicable.
• Manages the processing of new hire paperwork and files, including verification and entry of Form I-9 documentation, ensuring compliance.
• Enters a variety of information into HRIS system, including status changes, name changes, and payroll deductions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail with all entries while meeting strict deadlines.
• Prepares reports in HRIS system as needed to complete tasks and as requested by leadership.
• Posts open positions on website and sends job applications received in HR inbox to community leaders; facilitates contact between job applicants and community leaders when needed.
• Coordinates monthly calls with community Business Office Managers and members of the Support Office, including scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, and ensuring technology is set up and working.
• Files employee paperwork into electronic personnel and confidential files.
• Manages electronic I-9 files, including uploading new hires I-9 s and moving terminated employees I-9 s to appropriate location upon termination.
• Maintains list of new hire paperwork for employees, ensuring documents are up-to-date, accurate, and available to appropriate representatives.
• Responds to requests for verifications of employment for former or current employees via phone, email, or fax, ensuring proper authorization and confidentiality of information being released.
• Assists with various HR tasks and projects as needed and assigned.

HR Assistant Requirements:
• Associates degree, Bachelors preferred
• 1 to 2 years HR experience
• Experience and knowledge of Ulti-Pro HR system is highly desired
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and driven
• Strong knowledge of computers with Excel and Word experience
• Accurate, with attention to detail
• Strong collaborator and communicator
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills
• Maintain strong professional, positive demeanor
