THE RIGHT STAFF is proud to partner with a long-standing, trusted Foodservice Equipment Distributor headquartered in Eagan, MN, in their search for a dynamic Director of Multi-Branch Operations. This highly visible leadership role will oversee six branch locations while guiding Customer Service and Purchasing teams to deliver exceptional service, operational consistency, and strong financial performance. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced operations executive who thrives in a hands-on, data-driven environment and is motivated to build a scalable, disciplined operating model across multiple sites.
Essential Job Duties:
• Lead, manage, and coach Branch Managers through structured 1: 1s, branch huddles, and clear accountability to operational and financial targets
• Establish SOPs and standard work across all locations, including opening/closing routines, FIFO, returns, warranty processes, cycle counts, and customer counter procedures
• Drive a proactive inside-sales and customer service engine focused on quoting discipline, follow-up, quote-to-order conversion, upselling, and SLA-based responsiveness
• Strengthen Purchasing and Inventory operations, including min/max systems, supplier scorecards, lead-time management, cycle-count accuracy, returns, and warranty RMA processing
• Own the consolidated Branch P&L, delivering budget performance through pricing discipline, margin improvement, cost control, and labor productivity
• Build and manage an enterprise-wide KPI scorecard, leading weekly huddles and monthly business reviews focused on root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Advance technology adoption across ERP/WMS, quoting tools (AutoQuotes a plus), dashboards, and branch-level reporting; eliminate shadow spreadsheets
• Oversee OSHA and safety programs, including PIT training, 300/300A documentation, emergency action planning, 5S standards, and safety committee leadership
• Serve as a key member of the leadership team, influencing strategy, resource allocation, talent development, and cross-functional alignment
Minimum Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience leading multi-site distribution or branch operations, including 3-5 years managing managers
• Demonstrated P&L ownership with a track record of meeting or exceeding budget expectations
• Experience creating and enforcing SOPs, KPI scorecards, and standardization across sites
• Proven success building inside-sales or customer service functions focused on quoting, conversion, and SLAs
• Strong background in inventory and purchasing management, including turns, min/max logic, supplier management, and warehouse discipline
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems; experience with AutoQuotes and BI tools preferred
• OSHA knowledge applicable to warehouse/distribution; ability to implement safety training and audit programs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and change-management skills

• Primarily onsite across branch locations, headquartered in Eagan, MN, with regular regional travel up to 50%
• Annual compensation is highly competitive and aligned with experience and leadership scope (Base + Annual Bonus = $175k OTE annually)
• Standard business hours with flexibility as needed for multi-site support and travel
