THE RIGHT STAFF is partnering with our client who is a leading B2B supplier and manufacturer of textile products in a search for a Customer Service Rep. For their well-established manufacturing operations.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience supporting order entry, sales support, and customer service functions in a manufacturing environment.

The Customer Service Representative services customers and supports outside sales representatives by receiving and processing orders, assembling, and mailing sample packets and other product information, advising customers on product uses, availability of stock and product ship dates, communicating product pricing information and researching and resolving errors and other problems with invoices and orders, etc.

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Carries out all duties and responsibilities with an emphasis on safety.
• Answers telephones promptly using an appreciative, knowledgeable, and willing to help attitude.
• Receives customers' orders over the phone, fax, email and in person. Writes up the orders accurately and completely, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Sends confirmation notices of receipt of order.
• Processes customer orders by performing order entry on a PC, order printing, product, and private label requests, separating and distributing copies of order forms and note any special handling.
• Charges correct sales tax to customer considering bill to and ship to addresses and determines correct sales tax rate for customer on all cash sales. Orders needs to be double checked for accuracy.
• Use Mihlfield freight rates to generate freight quotes for 6 pallets or less customers. Requests for full truck rates will be submitted on freight quote form to purchasing.
• Investigates any problem shipping situations, such as delays or shortages, and promptly reports the cause and expected delivery date, etc., to the customer and the sales representative.
• Document any issues and solutions in the CRM program.
• Receives and investigates customer complaints, and promptly provides feedback to the customer as to how and when the situation will be resolved.
• Keeps sales representative informed of any issues. Document any issues and solutions in the CRM program.
• Support outside sales representatives' efforts working with customers to find what they need, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.
• Must be able to speak to customers about a product's different features and answer any customer questions.
• Makes call to customers checking stock, receives orders, and maintains notes on CRM program on the PC.
• Ensures any specific needs of the customer are communicated to customer service through the established order process.
• Maintains customer records of quotes, samples, opportunities, etc. In the CRM program.
• Uses a computer to run various weekly and monthly reports as requested by sales manager or customer service manager.
• Prepares sample packets as needed for shows, customer inquiries, etc.
• Assists the sales staff with correspondence by typing memos, letters, and quotes.
• Works on special projects and performs other duties as required or requested.
• Cleans up work area daily and as required.

Specific Experience and Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient using Microsoft office programs on personal computer.
• Must be able to balance many tasks on any given day and must be comfortable with multitasking to succeed
• Must be able to read and write English, and to speak and understand spoken English.
• Experience with ACT! Or another CRM program a plus.

Schedule and Pay for the Customer Service Representative:
• $18-$22/hr. DOE
• Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• St. Paul, MN - 100% onsite
• Contract-to-hire opportunity!
