Support a large scale healthcare company as a credentialing specialist in St. Paul. Ideal candidates will have 2 or more years of credentialing experience in Healthcare, however, all healthcare experienced candidates are encouraged to apply!

Job Duties for Credentialing Specialist:
• Works with medical and professional staff without privileges who are applying for appointment or reappointment to the provider's networks or clinics to ensure a smooth completion of processes
• Ensure all steps and verifications meet the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards. Process request for verification of hospital affiliations
• Import applications and enter data into the credentialing database
• Assist practitioners with the completion of applications and required forms
• Process applications following policies and NCQA standards within a time frame to assure quality goals are met
• Obtain verifications, runs queries, reviews and assess all verifications to determine the eligibility of applicants to meet criteria
• Maintains credentialing files to assure the DEA, Insurance, License information is not expired
• Other duties as it pertains to the job

Job Requirements for Credentialing Specialist:
• 1 year or more of administrative assistant or credentialing related experience. Or similar experience
• Two years of a college degree or equivalent work experience, healthcare setting preferred
• 2 years of credentialing experience is preferred
• CPCS or CPMSM Certification through the National Association of Medical Staff Services is highly preferred
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
