THE RIGHT STAFF is assisting our growing St Paul Client with hiring for Repair Technicians who have a passion for technology. This role is supporting Chromebook Repair for the K-12 education market. Idea candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of technology experience, training or 2-year degree in computer technology OR technical certification (Comptia A+) or self-study in IT hardware support. Hobbyist interest is definitely a plus! The Repair Technician will work to successfully audit, document, and repair defective customer systems, adapting to achieve desired individual and team KPIs, while adhering to established quality standards, at the direction of the Repair Supervisor and Repair Lead. As assigned, work to fulfill the primary function of the Repair Team:
Audit defective customer systems
Verify serial number on Repair Traveler matches the device in hand
Confirm the issue described by the customer is present
Recommend part needed to fix described issue
Accurately document needed info on Repair Traveler
Adhere to established timeframes and standards to ensure efficiency
Follow all department auditing guidelines

Follow all department repair guidelines
Effectively and efficiently work to achieve successful individual audit/repair KPI's while maintaining quality
Working as part of a larger team to aid in achieving team level KPIs
Identify areas of concern, means of improvement, and ways to increase efficiency, communicating them to Supervisor or Lead
When problems have occurred, work with Supervisor, Lead, and admin repair staff to identify their root causes and implement or recommend changes to prevent them from occurring again in the future
Assist other teams in accomplishing various tasks, as needed or assigned

At least 1-year related work or personal experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred at least 1-year technical training from technical program or college
Hardware certifications a plus (A+, ACMT, etc.)

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
When assisting other teams, prolonged periods of standing working on benches, bending over, or repetitive movement
Must be able to lift up to 30+ pounds at times

1st Shift, Monday - Friday from 6:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Pay: $20.00/hr. ($41, 600.00/year) Plus.
A discretionary quarterly bonus (up to $1, 000.00) paid out quarterly (April, July, October and January)
