THE RIGHT STAFF is currently supporting a client in downtown Minneapolis, with their search for an experienced Case Manager with Life and Health Licensing. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of case management experience.

The case manager serves as the liaison between Insurance agents, and the home office underwriting team.

Responsibilities of a Case Manager:
• Assist in coordinating new life & disability insurance business by reviewing and assessing the compliance for applications
• Operate as a liaison between insurance agents and the back office team
• Follow company policy and procedures for each case from the start of the application to the implementation of the policy
• Arrange medical record request and exams on behalf of agents
• Prioritize tasks and communicate with agents, management, and back office underwriters in regard to the underwriting process
• Uphold integrity of sensitive and confidential information
• Provide customer service assistant to agents in regards to policies
• Assist with IT troubleshooting issues related to online application sites
• Provide support with running illustrations for both new business and current business
• Provide instruction on best course of action to complete policy service and underwriting actions
• Negotiate or challenge an underwriting decision and hold difficult conversations with underwriters and agents on reasoning behind modified offers
• Provide backup to reception and operations team as needed

Requirements of a Case Manager:
• Life and Disability knowledge highly preferred; Life & Health Insurance License preferred
• 1-2 years of prior case management experience required
• Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
• Must have a high attention to detail, and a solid ability to problem solve
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be client service oriented and have a strong team player attitude
