HR Generalist - Contract/Part-time - 100% Onsite in Plymouth, MN

This onsite HR Generalist contract role supports a collaborative organization across multiple locations. The position begins part-time to assist with ongoing and seasonal HR needs and transitions to full-time hours in the fall to provide maternity leave coverage through December. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who can support anything HR-related as needs arise.
JOB DETAILS:
• $25-$35/hour depending on experience • Contract role through December 2026 • Part-time schedule initially at 20-24 hours per week • Must be available to work Monday-Friday anytime between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Expected transition to full-time hours in September or October • 100% onsite in Plymouth, MN • Anticipated start timeframe: late May to mid-June
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support a wide range of HR processes including benefits administration, employee relations support, payroll assistance, recruiting, onboarding, and general HR operations • Assist with job description updates, HR documentation, audits, and special projects • Provide support for bi-weekly payroll activities such as timecard review and basic payroll adjustments • Maintain employee data and documentation within an HRIS system; ADP Workforce Now preferred • Track benefits-related invoices and assist with monthly reporting for Finance • Support recruiting efforts including interview coordination, participation in onsite interviews, and detailed note-taking • Serve as a resource for routine employee questions and direct inquiries appropriately • Assist with internal events and peak-season initiatives as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years of HR Generalist or broad HR support experience • Ability to work Monday-Friday for 20-24 hours per week anytime between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM • Comfortable transitioning to full-time hours in September or October • Experience supporting multiple HR functions simultaneously • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • HRIS experience required; ADP Workforce Now a plus • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism • Bilingual Hmong or Vietnamese skills preferred but not required
