1099 CONTRACT - HR GENERALIST - ONSITE NEAR NASHVILLE, TN
THE RIGHT STAFF has partnered with a global distribution company in their search for a skilled HR Generalist to join their HR team in a 1099 contract capacity! This position will be 100% onsite at one of our client's distribution facilities in Portland, TN.
This role will provide candidates with the opportunity to work on various HR initiatives, collaborate with leaders, and help drive business success through effective HR practices.
Essential Job Duties:
• Manage recruitment efforts for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary positions, focusing on operational staffing needs.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to post jobs, conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and handle temp conversions.
• Coordinate a seamless new hire onboarding experience, conducting orientations and ensuring an outstanding first-day experience for new employees.
• Oversee administrative tasks such as onboarding, terminations, exit interviews, and ensure accurate data entry into HRIS systems, always maintaining compliance.
• Assist in the processing of work verifications and handle unemployment claims.
• Participate in performance management initiatives, providing valuable support to leadership.
• Provide general HR support to the department as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist required.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work autonomously, with support from a collaborative HR team.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Schedule, Pay, & Benefits:
• Pay depends heavily on experience - $28/hr. To $35/hr.
• Monday to Friday - core business hours are 8 am to 5 pm.
• Position is 100% onsite in Portland, TN.
• 1099 Contract opportunity - limited benefits available while on assignment.
