Support a Non-profit Healthcare organization in St. Paul as a Material s Buyer. We are seeking experienced Buyers/ Purchasers for this 3+ month contract Opportunity. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with processing orders through suppliers, have strong interpersonal communication, be detailed, organized, and a creative problem solver.

Responsibilities of a Materials Buyer:
• Processes orders to meet customer expectations and requirements using appropriate purchasing system. Identifies and recommends appropriate ordering system for the customer. Trains customer on the ordering system.
• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
• Monitors purchases to assure supplier compliance with purchase agreements, including specifications, price, and delivery.
• Negotiates price, delivery, terms, and conditions per department guidelines to maintain quality standards at the lowest cost meeting the customer's specifications.
• Awards purchase orders to the supplier based on established guidelines. Issues Purchase Orders to approved suppliers. Recommends the best source of purchases when applicable to analyzing specifications, costs, delivery, supplier capabilities and competition.
• Interacts with Materials Management staff, customers, and Value Analysis Program to ensure that activities meet the expectations of the customer, the supplier and are conducted in the best interest of the organization.
• Provides back-up duties for the department when necessary to ensure the continuation of the department's daily routines.

Requirements of Materials Buyer:
• 4 year college degree
• 1+ years in Purchasing and processing orders to suppliers
• Basic Computer Skills in MS office and Windows
• Strong Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing an effective rapport with customers, and others
• Strong Organization Skills, Effective project management, Problem Solving, and Written and Verbal Communication
