THE RIGHT STAFF is supporting a St. Paul, MN company with their search for a Human Resource Generalist. This is anticipated to be at least a 3 month contract opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Administer benefit plans, including enrollments and terminations. Process required documents with payroll, providers and third party administrator to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
• On board new employees and conduct new-employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of organization and benefits plans.
• Assist with annual open enrollment period. Arrange for distribution of plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating changes to employees and arrange for onsite representation by providers. Conduct employee presentations. Process changes within deadlines.
• Maintain employee records.
• Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Administer new employee background checks.
• Coordinate and assist with government reporting requirements.
• Resolve employee complaints related to benefits, refer difficult or very complex complaints to HR & Legal as needed.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or business.
• Experience administering employee benefits, including health and 401(k).
• Experience working with third party administrators.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.
