Are you an exceptional customer service representative who loves to help others? We are seeking an individual for a 3-month contract role for our client in Minneapolis, MN. This clinic coordinator role will take place in a busy Health Clinic s surgery department. This individual will be the face of the department and will assist patients and families during check-ins. This individual will need to have previous front office experience and knowledge of medical terminology.

Job Duties of a Clinic Coordinator:
• Provide top-notch customer service while promoting the organizational philosophy of patient-centered care to meet needs of patients and families during clinic visits.
• Greet and welcome patients and families during check-in and arrival process.
• Determine patient s intake status and checking the patient's itinerary.
• Assist patient directly to complete tablet information, if the itinerary is not complete.
• Maintain awareness of multiple competing situations, prioritize, and assure patients/guests needs are met while maintaining a pleasant, friendly demeanor.
• Answer guest questions pertaining to directions, phone numbers, personal services, transportation, and more.
• Coordinate schedules for future appointments and procedures following a patient visit with providers.

Requirements of a Clinic Coordinator:
• Post HS education or training with basic medical terminology and keyboarding skills.
• Proven ability to learn job skills and patient services. Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven ability to accurately schedule appointment and interpret provider orders.
• Knowledge of Environment of Care and Infection control policies is a plus.
• Prior clerical experience in a medical setting, and prior data entry is preferred.
• Must be able to type 35 wpm, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work with diverse populations, and make accommodations as necessary.
• Must be a flexible team player, and be able to perform a wide variety of front desk functions.
• Should be good at multitasking, critical thinking and problem-solving.
