Support a mid-sized medical device manufacturer in Plymouth as their Manufacturing Manager. THE RIGHT STAFF is seeking candidates with a manufacturing engineering background and supervisory experience for this permanent position. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of plastic extrusion and three to five years of supervisory experience in the medical device industry.

Responsibilities:
Coordination of manufacturing, warehouse, shipping and receiving activities to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
Work in cooperation with other management and non- supervision personnel to ensure that the customer s requirements are met.
Direct and manage department operations for production, maintenance and quality support.
Control and minimize labor overtime, supplies and repair expenses.
Maintain existing equipment and facilitate preventative maintenance programs.
Oversee all operational and day-to- day activities related to the department.
Provide detailed work assignments and tasks while managing the competencies, skills and training of your team that reflects their abilities and supports their development by cross-training and feedback.
Manage work order flow to achieve on time shipment of manufactured product and shop floor lead time targets.
Manage an effective and visual communication process that engages all employees in the day to day running of the business.
Ensure Inventory/Location Accuracy of raw materials and administer a cycle counting process that complies with Finance and Organizational requirements.
Interact with Engineering, Quality, Customer Service and Sales associates to ensure that new products are transitioned from customer development to manufacturing.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge of plastic industry.
Five to seven years of experience in the medical device industry.
Three to five years of personnel management experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience working in an ISO 13485 facility.
