The Contract Specialist position is responsible for assisting with reviewing, preparing and negotiating contract agreements with clients.

Contracts Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares various contract documents from templates
Reviews contracts received from clients, focusing on scope of work, risk, budgets and review of acceptable and unacceptable terms
Reviews contract terms and conditions making sure they are compliant with federal and state laws, regulations and company policies
Assists internal clients in interpreting contract terms and conditions

Contracts Specialist Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to work both independently and within a team assisting others
Knowledge of contract preparation and legal terminology
Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Effective oral and written communications skills with attention to detail and follow-up

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor s degree (legal-related degree preferred) OR
Paralegal certifications with 6 months of contract administration experience, OR
2-3 years of contract administration experience without a degree or certification
